Situated on the beautiful South Bay, Farrer’s Bar and Restaurant is located right next to the sea. Breath-taking views of the Bay can be seen right from the restaurant.

Farrer’s derived its name from Mrs Thomasin Farrer, the wife of one of Scarborough’s leading citizens in the 17th Century who discovered natural spring water bubbling out beneath the cliff. It was believed the water had medicinal effects that in turn led to thousands of visitors flocking to the area to benefit from the supposed medicinal qualities.

Opening Times

Daily Opening Hours:

We are open 7 days a week from 9am - 4pm, with last food service at 3pm.

Show Nights:

Farrer’s re opens at 5pm to ticket-holders only.

Bookings available and encouraged from 5pm – 6:30pm (limited walk in space for dinner and drinks available, we encourage booking in advance).

Food is served until 7pm and Farrer’s will close at the start of the performance.

Theatre bars will be open to ticket holders from 6:30pm and during the interval.

For some selected shows only:

On select shows – no pre-show dining will be available and Farrer’s will open later. Please ring to enquire, confirm or book as necessary on 01723 357860.
